A Peaceful Haven Inspired by Africa
The Amber room is located on the second floor of the Riad Palais Bab Sahra. It can be accessed via the 14th-century medieval staircase. It can also be accessed by the elevator, One large window offers a magnificent view of the Palais courtyard, and it is fitted with a large glass door to prevent noise from entering while allowing natural sunlight to flow into the room. The walls are made of traditional plaster, the floors are covered with authentic Fez zellige, and the ceiling is crafted from oak wood decorated with Amazigh Berber motifs dating back to the 12th century
The bedroom has a 180 x 200 cm bed (no extra bed possible) and a period wardrobe, beautifully decorated with traditional Fez naqqash fassi hand-painted motifs in classic colors, The bathroom has a large walk-in shower measuring 280 x 200 cm, an antique washbasin and WC.
